A typically quiet day at Dove Valley…

There’s no such thing as a quiet day in Broncos Country. Just when we thought everything had settled down with Vic Fangio appointed to the top job, and Gary Kubiak expected to run the offence, the Broncos take a right turn.

Kubiak, the Super Bowl 50 winning head coach, will not come on board as Vic Fangio’s offensive coordinator. Broncos insider Mike Klis reported that it was down to differences in philosophy and staffing.

Rick Dennison and Brian Pariani are two Kubiak favourites who the Broncos moved on from two years ago, and it seems John Elway and Fangio were not ready to welcome them back on board. This move also corresponds with what Elway has been saying about evolving on offense, and getting younger. Mike Munchak could well now come on board as the offensive line coach, with Kubiak no longer playing a role.

It is not known whether Kubiak will stay on in his current role with the Broncos front office.

It was then expected that the Broncos would interview San Francisco 49ers Quarterback Coach Rich Scangarello for the offensive coordinator position on Monday. Adam Schefter has since reported that the Broncos have been denied permission to conduct an interview with Scangarello.

It seems the Broncos could be evolving their style of offense, but the question remains, who well be steering the ship?

After all, it is Broncos Country, so who knows.
