Three days done at the 2017 Broncos training camp means only one thing. Pads tomorrow! For the first time the players will suit up and we will be able to get a better understanding of who is really worthy of a starting job on the 2017 Denver Broncos. Real football is almost back!

As for today, Trevor Siemian had his first really good day of camp. In the 7-on-7 drills Siemian found Emmanuel Sanders on a 60-yard touchdown, beating Chris Harris Jr, before the pair connected once more over fifty yards to beat Bradley Roby. Siemian was certainly defying the critics of his arm strength. After two good days Paxton Lynch struggled today, although he did produce the pass of the day to AJ Derby, slotting in an inch perfect pass between two defenders. CJ Anderson said about Lynch, “He’s doing wayyyy better than last year.” The quarterback battle isn’t over by a longshot, but Siemian has taken his first steps today towards retaining the job.

Bennie Fowler has been taking his opportunity to nail down the no.3 wide receiver job, and has been making plays to solidify that position. Tight-end AJ Derby spent much of the day working with Kyle Sloter and the third team, whilst Virgil Green beat Von Miller for a touchdown pass from Paxton Lynch.

Bernard Pierce was the only Broncos player not at practice. Devastating news hit last night as Shane Ray went down with a torn wrist ligament side-lining him for 6-8 weeks. Head Coach Vance Joseph said he hopes Ray, Devontae Booker and Shaq Barrett to all be back by week 3. This forced the Broncos into a move to sign Outside Linebacker Danny Mason, which mean they waived Tight-end Henry Krieger-Coble. Elsewhere on defence, Zaire Anderson made a play as he blew up a handoff between Kyle Sloter and Stevan Ridley.

With three days completed, the Broncos roster will be suiting up in their full body armour tomorrow for the first time. Now is the time for Paxton Lynch or Trevor Siemian to make a lasting impression and win the job.
