Starting off their preseason campaign the Broncos travel to the Windy City, to face off against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.

In theory, the game should be a breeze for the Broncos looking back at how poorly the Bears performed last season, when they finished 15th in the NFC only picking up 3 wins throughout the entire season.

A strange stat for the Bears in 2016 was that two of their three wins came from games where they were wearing their 1940s throwback jersey.

Coming out of training camp and into the first game of the preseason the Broncos are looking good, with it being announced that Trevor Siemian will be the starting QB and Paxton Lynch starting the second game against San Francisco.

Siemian, going into his third year in the NFL, was improving well during recent training camps and is getting to grips with the offensive scheme implemented by new coordinator Mike McCoy.

Siemian is clearly feeling good about getting the opportunity to show off to Vance and fans can only hope for a good few quarters out of him, and he said “(I’m) Just getting a feel for how guys run, what they do well and I think we’re all in a good spot right now.”

A player to watch who may be playing in the preseason game is A.J. Derby, who was featured on Training Camp Daily when he picked up 2 receiving touchdowns recently.

On the defensive end, the big 330 lb’s of Zach Kerr got some huge hits in and looks to be a force when it comes to being up against the Bears offensive line and run game.

The last time the Broncos went to Soldier Field it was a victory that could possibly happen again with a 17-15 Broncos away win.
