AN INTERVIEW WITH KEVIN CADLE

6th September 2017

Presenter of The Sportsheads Kevin Cadle spoke with Denver Broncos UK to preview the Broncos’ 2017 season.

Q: What did you make of the way the Broncos’ season ended so disappointingly last season?
A: The main problem was you lost three of your last your games and in those 3 losses the Broncos top rusher only rushed for a maximum of 37 yards. The Offense wasn’t in the game, as you held New England to 16 points but scored only 3, and you held Tennessee to 13 and scored just 10.

Q: What did you make of the cutting of T.J. Ward and the re-signing of Brock Osweiler?
A: Money talks and they must feel safe with Ward’s replacement(s), they got Brock for chump change and insurance…they know him so that move was easier to make.

Q: Have the Broncos improved enough over the offseason to make a playoff push?
A: Yes but I am looking at it from the coaching staff point of view. Stability and communication is what the team needs and Vance Joseph and his coordinators bring that.

Q: Do you think the Broncos have the future of the franchise at quarterback on the roster?
A: I think Siemian can hold it down. Forget where he was drafted, he had to follow a legend in Peyton Manning and with an 8-6 record I think he succeeded, now year two will tell us whether he is the future.

Q: Are the Broncos in a Super Bowl window with this defence?
A: They have a Super Bowl defence yes, but the question is are they a Super Bowl team, and to be that the offence must hold up their end.

Q: What do you think will be the Broncos’ record this season?
A: AFC West is a beast, 9-7 again.

Thanks to Kevin for giving his thoughts on the season, and you can check out his show here.
