The 2016 NFL Draft is upon us, ushering in the new league year for the majority of NFL fans but the reality is the new season began the second the confetti had settled on the Broncos Superbowl 50 victory; there isn’t much time for reflection in the NFL. Free Agency has come and gone and for better or worse the 2016 Broncos are going to look very different. Significant starters like Malik Jackson and Danny Trevathan have walked out the door. QB of the future Brock Osweiler is now at our conference rivals, the Houston Texans, taking home a significant salary. Evan Mathis and Kubiak’s longstanding partner in crime at TE, Owen Daniels, were both cut as victims of the cap.

Despite some nice additions there are still gaps to be filled and questions on what positions we should prioritise in the draft. Elway has showed his draft prowess on the defensive side of the ball in recent years hitting on Von Miller, Derek Wolfe and Bradley Roby among many others. Should the Broncos aim to continue this trend or target an offensive star?

Our first Mock Draft can be seen below. Let us know what you’d do with the pick in the comments.
